Billy Ray Tinsley was arrested on a parole warrant, then released after the jail couldn't accept him.

Case #2505-00111:  On Sunday, May 18, 2025, Lone Star Police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of Wildrose Street for a reported unwanted guest.

The reporting party lives at the residence and stated the suspect identified as BILLY RAY TINSLEY was there and wasn't supposed to be.  Upon arrival, Lone Star Police made contact with Tinsley and placed him under arrest for an outstanding parole warrant, commonly referred to as a "blue warrant".

Tinsley was transported to the Lone Star Police Department to await word from the Morris County Jail if they could accept him or not.  After a brief wait, Tinsley was transported back to his residence and released.

Lone Star Police contacted the reporting person and informed her that Tinsley claims residency at that location, and that address is reflected on his driver's license.  If she wishes to have him removed from the property, she would have to do so through the Justice of the Peace Office with an eviction process.

A copy of the arrest report was sent to the Texas Pardon and Parole Board.
