Don Audrick Jones aka Archie Jones was arrested on multiple charges that led to a search warrant executed at his residence.
Case #2506-00129: On June 2nd, 2024, Don Audrick Jones aka "Archie Jones" was arrested shortly after 6am after Daingerfield Police and Morris County Sheriff's Office responded to a disturbance.
A female victim was at Jones' residence on Fannin Street when he allegedly took her purse and threatened her life. He dumped the contents of the purse on the floor. She grabbed as much of her property as she could, then fled his residence on foot. Jones pursued the victim in his vehicle. As the victim approached a neighbor's house on Byrne Street, a surveillance camera captured Jones striking the victim with his vehicle, then taking the victim's purse, again.
Jones returned to his residence with the purse, then came back to the neighbor's house. It was there a Daingerfield police officer and Morris County deputy sheriff took Jones into custody for some misdemeanor charges arising from the incident.
Lone Star Police came on duty and conducted a further investigation. It was at this time the surveillance video was reviewed and additional felony charges were filed. Lone Star Police obtained a search warrant for Jones' residence and vehicle in an attempt to recover the property stolen from the victim.
As Lone Star Police executed the search warrant, with assistance from the Naples Police Department, illegal narcotics (marijuana and cocaine), paraphernalia, and packaging material was discovered inside the residence. Lone Star Police suspended the search while an additional search warrant was obtained.
Jones is currently on parole with a known gang affiliation with the Crips.
The Lone Star Police Department extends gratitude to all the agencies that assisted with the arrest and execution of the search warrants in this case.
